Shelf Planner ("we", "our", or "the app") is a fully offline digital bookshelf application developed for personal use. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.

By using Shelf Planner, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Shelf Planner is designed with privacy at its core. The app does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically:

- No account registration is required.

- No name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information is collected.

- No usage data, analytics, or behavioral data is tracked.

- No crash reports or diagnostic data are sent to any server.

2. HOW YOUR DATA IS STORED

All data you enter into Shelf Planner — including book titles, authors, notes, ratings, cover images, and app settings — is stored entirely on your device using local JSON files. This data never leaves your device and is not uploaded to any cloud service, server, or third party.

If you uninstall the app, all local data will be permanently deleted from your device.

3. PERMISSIONS

Shelf Planner requests the following permission:

- Photo Library Access: The app may ask for permission to access your photo library only when you choose to add a cover image for a book. This permission is used solely for the purpose of selecting a cover image and is never used to access, modify, or transmit any other photos or data.

The app does NOT request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or any other device sensors or data.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Shelf Planner does NOT integrate any third-party services that collect user data, including but not limited to:

- No analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics)

- No advertising or ad networks

- No crash reporting tools

- No push notification services

- No social media integrations

- No cloud storage or sync services

The only third-party libraries used are open-source Flutter packages for local functionality (file path resolution, image selection from gallery, URL launching for app rating, and native sharing). None of these libraries transmit data off your device.

5. DATA SECURITY

Since all data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted over the internet, the risk of data interception or unauthorized remote access is inherently eliminated. The security of your data depends on the security of your device itself. We recommend using standard device security measures such as screen locks and device encryption.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Shelf Planner does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is suitable for users of all ages as it does not access, collect, or transmit any personal data.

7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
